Solomon Osei, MD, FACOG
Dr. Osei is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York and completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn.
Dr. Osei practices the full range of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a particular interest in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, obstetrics and medical practice management. He is an active member of several professional societies including: the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Osei is fluent in several languages, including Russian.
Dr Oseiís special interests are in the management of fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding. He uses an individualized approach that explores all the treatment options available to allow for the best possible treatment for each patient. Dr Osei has extensive experience in minimally invasive treatment of fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Having trained and practiced for several years in an area with a very high incidence of complicated fibroids, Dr. Osei is considered one of the best in managing fibroid cases.
Frank K. Kwakye-Berko, MD, PhD, FACOG
Dr. Kwakye-Berko is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has practiced in a wide range of academic and private practice settings in New York, North Carolina and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; including serving as the Chair, Obstetric and Gynecologic Services, Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY. Dr. Kwakye-Berko maintains current licensure in New York and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kwakye-Berkoís training includes residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina; and completion of the rigorous Physician-Scientist (MD-PhD) dual degree program at the New York University School of Medicine, New York. He has authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications, and is also a member of several professional societies.
Dr. Kwakye-Berko has admitting privileges at several hospitals, including hospitals in the NYC metropolitan area, New York Methodist Hospital and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Kwakye-Berko practices the full range of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a particular interest in laparoscopic and pelvic reconstructive surgery, and urologic gynecology. Dr. Kwakye-Berko is one of the few gynecologists in Brooklyn who is trained in, and routinely performs, pelvic reconstruction surgery, including management of urinary incontinence.
Lauren J Osei, RN, FNP
Lauren Osei, FNP is a graduate of Pace University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing in 2006. In March of 2007, she became a National Board-certified Family Practitioner. She is currently a part of the New York Nurse Practitioner Association, with eight years of experience in the medical field: seven years as an RN and one year as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
